Black Country Run - http://www.theblackcountryrun.com/index.htmlThe Black Country Run is once again hitting the streets of Halesowen to raise money for local and national charities.

Last year’s race raised over £23,000 for a number of good causes.

The event has proved popular among local residents wanting to get fit and with members of the local athletics clubs training for the race season.

The 10K runners will set off at 9.00am around the specially marshalled town centre route with the 5K following at 11.00am.

Each run will start and finish near Benjamins taking runners past local landmarks such as the iconic Halesowen Parish Church. They will make their way along the A459 Bromsgrove Road and Queensway before heading back down Hagley Road and through the High Street. The 10K version follows a similar route but is extended to two laps and includes running along Broadway Avenue.

We’re urging local residents to come and support the event by turning out to cheer on the joggers as they pass by.

This years charity event is proudly sponsored by Complete Solutions Clearly Managed IT (CSCM IT), Lifestyle Fitness, Mercedes-Benz of Stourbridge and SYR.
