Halesowen celebrated the opening of its latest store on Saturday with the arrival of Molly’s Toychest.

Founded by two local entrepreneurs, Molly’s Toychest is a safe, friendly and welcoming environment for children to discover and try out new toys. The enterprise was founded by Samantha and Daniel Price, a husband and wife team who celebrated over the weekend with a grand opening ceremony.

The pair certainly know a thing or two about retail. Between them they have over 30 years experience working for a number of High St brands.

Following the birth of their daughter, Samantha and Daniel started the search for fun, good quality and educational toys. However, they very quickly realised that with the decline of the traditional toy shop, toys like this were not as readily available. After much discussion and planning they decided to go into business for themselves. They felt that with their expertise they could fill this gap and create a fun, interactive and inspirational environment for children.

Samantha and Daniel envisage Molly’s Toychest as more than just a family toy shop. They want the business to encourage local children. That is why they’re lending their support to a number of initiatives in schools within the area. Molly’s Toychest even has dedicated wall for children’s drawings of their favourite toys.
