Startime Variety - Sleeping Beauty 2017It’s that time again…oh no it isn’t! Well yes it really is time for the opening of Startime Variety’s annual pantomime – this year performing the classic, Sleeping Beauty. The season opens at the Cornbow Hall this Wednesday (18th January) until Saturday (21st January).

The classic tale has been rewritten and produced by 19-year-old Holly Mills whose sister is playing the part of Prince Stephen.

Janette Greenway, pr officer for the group told the Halesowen News: “This should be a fantastic pantomime for all the family. There are a lot of new characters such as Princess Adorabell, Tom Dick and Harry, Mis Chief, truly scrumptious Queen Doorbell and Ding Dong.”

She added: “There will be plenty of lively songs, dancing and comedy in Sleeping Beauty.

“Rehearsals are going fantastic and we are lucky to have such talented cast and crew.”

Startime will be performing the panto every night from Wednesday to Saturday at 7:15pm (with a Saturday matinee at 2.15pm).

Tickets, priced £10 and £35 for a family, are available from the group’s website www.startimevariety.co.uk. Details are also available on the groups Facebook page.

By supporting Startime Variety you’ll also be supporting local charities as proceeds from the shows will be donated.
