Saturday (2nd July) the Cornbow Hall will play host to Halesowen Orchestra’s 30th Anniversary Concert. The classical treat will feature Dvořák: Overture Carnival, Tchaikovsky: Symphony No 5 and Mozart: Horn Concerto No 4.

The orchestra will again be led by Thomas Jarvis, a talented conductor who earned a Masters in Composition with American composer Dr Kevin Malone. He has also conducted in venues such as Sheffield City Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, RNCM Opera Theatre and the Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall.

About the Halesowen Orchestra
The Halesowen Orchestra, which was founded in 1986, is an amateur group of musicians from Halesowen and the west of Birmingham. The 40 strong musical group meets weekly to practice a wide and varied repertoire including works by Beethoven, Bizet, Brahms, Dvorak, Haydn, Mendelssohn, Mahler, Mozart, Nielsen, Schubert, and Ravel. The group then hosts three concerts per year and was once described as “one of Halesowen’s hidden jewels” by James Morris MP.
