New club crest for 2016/2017 season

Halesowen Town FC are delighted to reveal their newly-designed club crest, which is an updated, modern version of the club’s traditional badge.

As you may have seen, there are many different designs on the internet of the Halesowen Town crest. After discussions with people and organisations connected with the club it was decided that the current design required modernising and so we have produced a new, revamped badge, yet ensured the clubs 143 year history was central to any design. The new crest enables Halesowen Town to compete in the new modern digital world of social media, marketing and merchandising.

The new badge incorporates a circle design with the stand out words ‘Halesowen Town’ and the year ‘1873’, the year the club was formed. We felt it was essential this was incorporated into the design to embrace the fact that The Yeltz are one of the oldest clubs in the Midlands. The most important element for the new design were the changes to Halesowen Church, making it more contemporary. As you can see it includes the turrets, spire, windows and circle turret on the right hand side, making the church a stand out feature.

Chief Executive Officer Chris Lambert explained why the club has decided to make the change ahead of the new season: “We are trying to pride ourselves on being a progressive and forward-thinking club, and believe the new crest will play an important part in helping us make the next step. Several changes to the club structure are taking place during the close season and a key part of this is the clubs identity and the new design which I know we will all wear with pride from next season onwards.”

The badge will now start to be slowly added to all the club’s media and marketing outlets, including the website & club merchandise. Please contact [email protected] should you wish to receive high resolution versions of the image.
