Local ‘mumpreneurs’, Anna Ruffle and Lorraine Dyer.

At the start of 2017, local ‘mumpreneurs’, Anna Ruffle and Lorraine Dyer launched Mini First Aid Birmingham West, an organisation which offers first aid courses to parents, grandparents, carers and children. The courses cover the basics of life saving first aid to give people the confidence to know what to do in a medical emergency.

Anna and Lorraine offer 2-hour baby & toddler first aid classes for small groups of parents and carers. Both founders bring a wealth of teaching, childcare and parenting experience to their business. Both ladies have children, so are no strangers to bumps, bruises and injuries! Anna also works in the NHS as a physiotherapist and Lorraine is a registered childminder.

The Mini First Aid classes are relaxed but informative and cover choking, basic life support, dealing with burns, breaks and bumps, febrile seizures & meningitis awareness.

Each class costs just £20 per person, a worthy price to gain the confidence of what to do in a crisis.

Anna & Lorraine also offer Mini First Aid classes in schools & pre-school settings, Mini First Aid corporate classes in the workplace, birthday parties and private classes by arrangement to suit parents’ needs.

Mini First Aid will soon be offering full paediatric courses (6 hour & 12 hour) as well Emergency First Aid at Work for Schools including AED training (1 day).
