Charlotte Brontë Poster | Halesowen LibraryHalesowen library will be celebrating the 200th birthday of Charlotte Brontë this week with an afternoon tea and screening of Jane Eyre. Ms Brontë (21 April 1816 – 31 March 1855) was an English novelist and poet. She was the eldest of the three sisters and was the author behind English literature classics such as Jane Eyre (1847), Shirley (1849) and Villette (1853).
